running slow or is it my imagination?

So I finally have my system up and running and I go to test it out with FEAR(I haven't gotten 3dmark06 yet) and with everything set to max and soft shadows on I can only pull an average of 59 fps and 70 max. With soft shadows off I can get 61 fps. When comparing it to others that have benchmarked one card with about the same system they are getting around 100 fps or more. Let me know what you think.

My system is as follows:
MB: evga 680i sli T1
RAM: G.Skill 2gb 5-5-5-15, cas 5
CPU: e6600
HDD1: raptor 150gb
HDD2: seagate 320gb
GPUs: evga 8600 x2 SLI'd
PSU: xClio Greatpower 550w
Case: P180B

Everything is at stock settings w/ no OC.

Game settings are:
1024x768 and everything max'd, AA x4, AF x8

My temps are as follows(all temps are the recorded max from nVidia's stability tester after 12 hours):
CPU: 40C
System: 32C
GPU1: 53C
GPU2: 56C

Let me know if I'm missing anything

Maybe those cards didn't have soft shadows on. I know that feature kills the framerates, I have a 7900GT and when I switch that on along with AA and AS, fear becomes unplayable.

Yeah I know what you're saying but when I have soft shadows on my frame rate is 59 and when soft shadows is off I only get 61 while maintaining the same AA nd AS?
