You're thinking of the old intergrated chips. The newer ones aren't all that bad.

S3 is kinda old
i had an S3 card 4mb in my old computer a celeron 333 mhz
so it's been around for a while
but i dont think it's on the track now

And I have a damaged video driver, so I can't change my screen resolution

If I remember correctly, I posted something a few weeks ago about a newish card S3 had made. It was around a Geforce 6600GT level, but used much less power.

Oh yeah, and see the laptop I have...it's technically got S3 graphics
