Hi,

Which is the better one?

Gigabyte GA-965P-S3

or

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3

Also, the DS3 is only £8 more than the S3, is it much better, whats the difference?

Worth it?

Thanks/

The DS3 has all solid capacitors, increasing the durability and longevity of the board. D stands for Durable.

There's no real proof that it makes the board last longer. The caps on a board will almost always last longer then the board will ever be in use for. Solid caps hold up to heat better but there's also no proven OC benefit for using all solid caps.

YES. GIGABYTE SUX. THEY QUIT PARTNERS WITH ASUS. ASUS IS TEH PWNZORZ NOOBS!

So any particular reason they suck? The (D)S3 boards are great OCers, at least as good as the P5B.

WOW, S3, and DS3 suck, get a P5B-Deluxe, Best OCing motherboard that I know of, BTW, why is ttis forum small?
So >20000 members is too small, huh?
Make your own forum that's bigger then...

I don't know, but MAYBE, the price difference between a P5B Deluxe and the (D)S3 boards may have something to do with choice? And the fact that the gigabyte boards have been proven to be excellent overclockers as well?

I have that board and its overclocks great with my processor, also it works, well not my first one but I got it RMA'd. BTW Gigabyte sucks so bad with RMA. They take forever, I waited over a month to get a replacement. When I had to RMA my Asus board on my old build they two weeks only.
