I Noticed that in vista instead of "My Computer" its just "Computer", i have XP pro but I'm using vista styles and icons etc to look like Vista and renaming the links in the start menu would make things more vista. I tried renaming them successfully then about 45 mins later my PC lagged big time and well crashed for ages but then it was ok, I renamed them to the origion "My Comp, My Doc.... etc" and found also that some directories had been made because of the change but I corrected all this. Could the renaming of start menu links possibly mess up all the directories of programs and files and mess up your computer? Safe or Unsafe? Would I have to reinstall programs to get their new directories if renaming affects them? Here check the pics tosee what I'm geting at. Hope i havnt confused you all. Thanks for ur time.

Hmm, OK, but some new files where made I mean like Logitech gallery saves webcam videos in "C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Pictures\My Logitech Pictures\Pictures and Videos" But when I renamed My pics to just Pictures My Pictures folder was recreated in "Pictures" and Logitech Pictures recreated itself inside. So that tells me Logitech gallery is affected by renaming My Pictures, What do you think?

Do, you mean that there is a new "Logitech Pictures" folder? If you want to go back you can always rename it to "My Pictures."
