Safely Remove Hardware?

Hey Guys!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I sure did!

Anyway, my problem is that my Hard Disk Drive is said to be a removable device and that the computer has the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the tray...

I double click the icon, and this pops up:

Now, I noticed that this only happened came around when I installed the nVidia IDE drivers, but I have no clue as to how to remove them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Rambo :)

SATA drives do that... I've not noticed it on my comp recently but I know at first it showed it like that. Urm...hmm...now that I think about it, why did it disappear?! LOL...but yeah, it's normal.

It is SATA, right?

Yup, it's SATA 150... 200GB 16MB Cache... If you ever figure out how you got it to disappear, do tell...:D

safely remove the device...

You can always hide the icon.. (you can't turn off the icon in msconfig..)

I can hide it, but then that little arrow comes... and that is way more annoying... I tried downloading the latest chipset drivers, 6.70, and that didn't work...

Anything else I could try?
