Hey folks just looking for some ppls opinions

here is the current psu i have

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148027

spec:+3.3V@17A, +5V@25A, +12V1@16A, +12V2@18A, [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

Its currently running an 8600gts perfect.

could i upgrade the gpu to something better with no risk of blowing up my brand new build?

should i just wait till i buy a new PSU? What do you folks think?

i was thinking a 9600gso to up the performance a touch?

oh yea and must be Nvida...thanks

im not sure, dont try unless confermed but im confident in the fact that you can run a max of MABEY 9300 i personaly would go with 8900 but again not sure might want to play it safe and wait... srry if i couldent be of help

lol forget him. your current PSU will handle the new video card fine if the PSU lives up to its ratings. thats the problem though, Apevia is total crap to be honest. you dont need to buy a new PSU exactly, but your pushing your luck.
