Sager 4750 Laptop, screen problem

I don't know what is wrong with the screen. All I see is a white light displayed. Could it be a short circuit or something more serious?

What do you mean by a while light? As in a white screen? The best way to get to the root of a problem is to back track, so what did you do with the laptop before this error occurred and go from there.
