ive been searching for piece for my new PC build and when i comes to the graphic ive come across the same card

1280Mb nVidia GeForce GTX 570 PCI-Express VGA Card

but each has a different name before it

Palit
Zotac
gigabyte
gainward

i presume their are brands

even tho it's the same card are some better than others?

the one i was looking at didn't have any name but it ???

When they are first released, they all pretty much use Nvidia reference design. All look the same. Most of them are made by Foxconn. Later on they start putting there own coolers on them and start fooling with the clocks.

Yes it is the brand, however not the manufacturer. The chip on there doesn't change, that is still an Nvidia GTX 570, however some things that may change are the cooler, PCB, warranty and quality of support. For the most part, however, they are all the exact same card, with maybe a different cooler on there.

Of the ones listen, Zotac and Gigabyte are excellent, Palit and Gainward are more of your "cheaper" brands, and from Palit especially I have heard of troubles trying to get support or claim warranty. Gainward I can't say much for from lack of experience or knowledge. Because they are all, for all intents and purposes, the same, it doesn't really matter which brand you go for, it is all the same quality and all the same speed

Palit and Gainward are the same people. I suggest never buying their cards and advising no one else to buy them. They are absolutely terrible in my experience. Good brands include:

EVGA
XFX
Gigabyte (really good in Aus as they have an RMA centre here)
Zotac
Sapphire/VTX3D

All essentially sell the same card, but like Aastii said, cooling, board design and warranty varies. Buy whichever has the highest clocks, the best cooling, and the best support in your part of the world.
