samsung 226bw

Hi I have a Samsung 226BW 22" widescreen monitor and wanted to say that movies look crappy compared to my old Acer 19" widescreen. Movies look good when I minimize it but when I go fullscreen I see pixels. Is this normal for this high end monitor? Games look amazing though.

What resolution are you running the 22" at... also what resolution is the video in, can you play that SAME video file on the 19" at the same time to compare...?

Ill bet its just cause the video is in like 640X480, which will look terrible when stretched to 1680X1050 on a 22in monitor. Even HD stuff will start to look pixely with a high enough resolution monitor. Which doesnt take much.

Correct. The video is just stretched more. Most DVD's (if that's what your playing) have a resolution of 720x480, so getting a bigger monitor will just stretch it and make it look kinda bad. It usually isn't that bad though.

Some monitors are HDTV ready and that may help, I play movies hooked in my x1900xtx's hd componet output on my 37 inch tv which is HD and it looks fantastic.
