hi there!!!
i'm having a problem with my samsung cd-rw drive(internal)...

this drive isn't easy to open...

once you press the open/close button, it doesn't open quickly...

unlike other cd-rom and other drives that opens right away...

i mean... that you will have to press the open/close button three to five times to open the tray...

and its so tiring that it makes you and angry and made you throw it to the garbage!!!!

but, it works fine if it is reading or writing a disc...

its just that i can't open the cd-rw tray quickly to make my work done faster...

anyone can post a comment or should i do to fix this problem!!!

I have the exact same problem as you man. I am almost sure that it has to do something either with the button itself or more likely that the motor which powers the opening and the closing of the tray does not have the power required. I think we will basically have to keep on trying until it works. Sadly so... or we could replace the motor.

What works for me is waiting until the disc in the tray stops spinning before the tray itself pops open. Some drives take forever to spin down.
