I have this samsung DVD Video combi. And I would like to record one of my videos to DVD. Anyway when I put one of my blank DVDs in it says that the DVD can neither be played or recorded to:confused:. I am confused as to why this is as it says it records onto DVD rw, DVD ram and DVD r.

As I have no solution to this I was wondering if there was a way to link the video player and PC together and record to the PC or strait from DVD to DVD r using my PC. I can link up the TV downstairs as its a nice HDTV that can be used as a computer monitor if thats any help.

Before you suggest trying anouther of my DVDs I have tried 5 of them and none work.

DVD/VIDEO = VR320
TV = Samsung LE26R41BD S
Computer has video in and out thingies.

Also if it is possible could anyone suggest some cheap or free softwear to record it to the computer. I suppose I could use fraps I just dont feel like compressing the video of about 150gig down to 4.5gig cos it will take hours (and I may run out of room on one drive as I have 2 drives of 250gig).

Anybody I really need to get this video onto DVD by Friday. Please anyone got any method on how to do it?

Ok Im quite confused, can u fill-in the following blanks:
1. The Source is:
2. The Source format is:
3. My source-capture device is:
4. My burning device is:
5. My final output format needs to be in:

1. A video TAPE
2. Whatever a video tape is
3. I play it using a tape player/dvd combi.
4. I would have used DVD recorder but that doesnt except my blank DVDs for some reason:confused: . So if possible the F drive on my PC.
5. Anything that will work on a houshold DVD player.

I was wondering if I ran the video tape through my monitor. Would I be able to copy itfrom there to my computer atall? or link it any other way?.

Sorry I left so many gaps that may be why no one is replying lol.

No. The only way to capture via computer is via any type of Video-In capabilitys your computer may have (usually as an added feature for your videocard or as an extra media cpture card)

Whats the make and model of this recorder? :) (or better, do you have a link for it)

Ok, I don't know what format of discs you were using as recordable media. You didn't specify before, but be sure your discs are the DVD-R/RW format and not DVD+R. I looked your player up on Google and it doesn't support DVD+R/RW.

The T9402 has an audio/visual panel at the front of the machine. This provides S-video and composite video inputs so you can connect a camcorder or VCR and transfer your recordings to the PC quite easily. The panel also has an integrated memory card reader that accepts most popular formats, as well as headphone and microphone sockets.

Well if thats true how do I go about copying?

1. Can you format a DVD R?
2. How do you do that?
3. How do I know if its + or -. As I lost the sleve that came with my spindle. And I have 97 of them left lol.
