As silly as this might sound to you, this is actually big news to me because there was some good stuff on there. My SV3002H won't spin. It spun before and I accessed the data and it was there, plain and simple. Now when I connect the power nothing happens. The BIOS doesn't see it either. Is it possible that the PCB is damaged? And PLEASE don't reply with something like "go buy a better hard drive".
 
If it doesn't spin up, you'll be out of luck. You'll have to send it out to a data recovery center if you want to get the data off it. And it's not cheap to do that (Usually several hundred or thousand dollars).

You can do a quick Google and try different recovery places for better prices.
