Just thought I would let the forum know, if you don't already, that Microcenter has some killer prices on CPU's, specifically Sandy Bridge. I picked up an i7 2600 yesterday for $250 before tax. Pretty sweet!

that's probably because all their mobo's are on recall.
April? Youch. I thought that Intel was almost finished fixing everything.April 2011.

April 2011.
What is it about them that is good. Are they going to be more bang for your buck....Less expensive, so therefore more in line with AMD. I'm getting ready to build a computer for the first time and need to know if its worth waiting for them to re-release....I'm not in a huge hurry, but if its not worth the wait, I'll just go ahead with my AMD build...
Yes, it's definitely worth the wait. As 87dtna said, the i7 2600k provides 980x performance for a third of the price. That's some serious bang for the buck. What is it about them that is good.
