Hi there,
I have just installed a Saphire X1950XTX 512mb video card which is liquid cooled (blah blah) but the bloody thing is not running cool. Ambient running temperature is in the high 60 celcius mark and when I play a game like Splinter Cell Couble Agent, the game runs fine but the warning cuts in I have to stop playing as the card is now in the 100 celsius mark.
I have a E6600 2.4 duo 2 core processor
2 x 1gb ddr2 667 ram
2 x WD 250 gb sata-2 7200rpm hard drives striped 0
in a thermaltake soprano case.
I was thinking that the default 430W psu might be a problem as it states on the packet to run 450W minimum but this would be more for the running of the gpu and not the cooling, or am I wrong?
If anyone has heard of a problem with this card before or can think of ideas would be appreciated.
