Hi all! I'm new here, but looks nice, been peekin' around ya know.
Okay, well, I'm looking at a SAPPHIRE 100177L Radeon X1950XTX from Newegg.
Looks nice, but I'm wondering if my powersupply can even handle it. It's an Apex, and I'm just wondering if this will be able to handle the card.
Here is some information:
Protection YES
Input Voltage 115/230 V
Input Frequency Range 50/60 Hz
Input Current 10A @ 115V, 5A @ 230V
Output +3.3V@28A,+5V@52A,[email protected],+12V@20A,-12@1A,[email protected]
The maximum power wattage: 500.
And also, the card looks nice, but I see mixed reviews. Some say it cuts through FEAR at 140 FPS on max settings, and some say it's 10-40 FPS.
I'm on a new ASUS motherboard with a nice AMD dual core processor, 2.5 gigs of RAM. (Processor runs at about 2.8GHz)
Any chance someone can give me some insight?
Thanks a lot in advance.
