While my rig was up and running, the GPU made the rest of the system hot.
It has the standard single slot cooler, and heatsinks on the RAM.
It is also very loud... should i get an aftermarket Zalman cooler? i heard those where good.

If you're already running at 100% fan and you're still hotter than you'd like, it might be time to invest in a better cooler. Although your card is kind dated, it might be more practical to just get a mid-range card with better cooling than spend however much on aftermarket cooling.

Well, the rig was only run once, i didn't get time to check the speeds and temps, but my side panel was off, so i think putting on would dampen most of the noise. And now that my fan mod is done, it has a 140mm circle of air pushing 50CFM or so onto it.

Well if it was only run once, how do you know it was hot? The air coming out is going to be warm, thats the point of the fans, moving away warm air. With good airflow in your case, stock cooling should be fine for your needs, especially with the side panel on and the added fan. Get some solid info and if that still doesn't satisfy you, go with a new cooler.
