Sapphire ATI HD4870 - Worth £70?

Need to upgrade my card to something half decent but not really got a large budget - been offered a second chance offer on E-Bay for £70 for Sapphire ATI HD4870. Want to be able to play Call of Duty, Bio-Shock two etc on at least mid range settings, this going to be able to handle it with out having to overclock?

Yeah thats a good deal,Theyre still going for around £129 on ebuyer,It should be able to max the graphics on those games you mentioned depending on the rest of your system specs.

Cheers for that mate - thought was on to a winner but some times you do so much reading around and research, that a second opinion is needed! Should have it in a week so I shall find out!

I agree,everyone seems to be choosing the 5770 because it has DX11,but by the time DX11 realy takes off that card wont be able to handle it properly anyway imo.

a high end DX10 card is what you want right now =4870 or 4890.
OR

275 OR 285 from nvidia.

Yes 5850...but anything less i wouldnt.

once i get my munnies I'm probably going to get a 4850/4870 if it's still out and still at a reasonable price(December of this year! along time away )
