Sapphire Radeon X1600XT

tru wattage isn't everything... but if u have the best amps on the 12 volt rail and a 250watt psu it doesn't do squat, and vise versa...
but i would say it wouldn't work...

I'd say it'd work. We've put an Asus X1600Pro into an Asus barebones with a 250w power supply. I'm sure the XT with a 350 should be fine. The only thing I've seen that needed better power was SLI cards.

I'm not really sure what you are asking. The computer I would be putting this in a Gateway I purchased yesterday.

On the side of the opwer supply you will see a graph. You are looking for +12v A@ and then the number.

Hmmm what are the specific things I am looking for? I just need to know if this power supply will run a newer card.

I'm trying to tell you that i need the +12 V Amperage to give you a accurate answer. You are ok on the wattage considering a x1600 isn't a power house. It sucks around 41 W of power. Now if you would just tell me the amperage on the 12 volt rail i would give you a accurate answer. Agian it should look like this +12 V@, and then a number. Tell me the number.

Not sure if this is the answer, but

+5V & 12V + 3.3 288W MAX

It also says 15A next to 12V.

I don't believe that power supply can handle that videocard. I would like to see at least 20A on the 12 V rail. Although if someone could back me up on this it would be great.

Alright, that's fine.

I'd like to buy a new video card on New Egg. I'm returning a best buy PNY GeForce 6600 at Best Buy for an exorbant 194 with tax - they are WAY cheaper on NewEgg, but thankfully they have a return policy.

Willing to spend around 150+/- if anyone could help!

lol , I'm gonna back myself up here. After looking on google I found it says the minimum system requirements are a 420 W power supply. Plus with those weak rails I would not hook that card up to it.
