what's the difference between Sapphire cards and ATI cards? Confused~

if im not mistaken i think Sapphire is just a company that sells ATI video cards, similar to companies like XFX, EVGA, Gigabyte,MSI, etc..all companies that sell either Nvidia or ATI chipset graphics cards.

correct. Sapphire just uses the ATi chips and what not in their cards, pops a sticker on them, and there you have it. Just brand difference.

yup! . Also Saphire is one of the best. If it's an ATi video card your looking for you can be sure your getting a quality product if it bares the Saphire name.

Yea, I have a Sapphire X800 Pro, and haven't had a single problem with it. It was at least 50 bucks cheaper than the ATI one. Its really amazing what brand names can do to the price of an item.

The only real difference is that only "BUilt by ATI' cards can use the Multimedia Center feature from Catalyst
