I've only seem to find the usually is it backwards compatible with 1.5.

I assume this is a yes but want to make sure, can you use a 1.5 sata in a 3.0 slot? I have a couple old sata 1.5 drives I'd like to use on my new mobo with my 3.0.

Answer is yes SATA 3.0 is fully compatible with older motherboards that only support SATA 1.5
