SATA 6/Gbs Controller Card

Hi Guys,

I have the HP Z600 and it only have SATA 3.0 Gb/s ports and since my SSD is SATA 6Gb/s I would like to get a controller card for it. I am not an expert or have any knowledge about controller cards. I was reading reviews on newegg and they mentioned the low profile cards doesn't help much with the speed of an SSD. I am not sure if that is true. If so which card is prefer and will give me the 6.0 speed for an SSD for a maximum of $50?

Has it been confirmed that it'll work because I read comments on the low profile sata controller cards that it doesn't have enough power to utilize the 6.0 for SSD's. Is there a way for me to check with an app that it is utilizing the 3.0 or the 6.0? so I can possibly check the difference before and after i switch the card?
