SATA AHCI setting

I don't know if this is the correct place for this topic but I am going to reinstall Windows 7 and before I do, I am going to enable the SATA AHCI setting the BIOS. I have 2 hard drives, one is for storage. Would enabling this setting cause me to lose the files on the storage drive? I just want to make sure before I do.

No. That setting is only about how you communicate with the controller. It does not touch the data on the drive.
