SATA Cable Trick

I was playing around with cable management today and got this:

Kinda a useful trick because those SATA cables are a little long, plus it looks kinda good. Just wrapped them around a pencil and they stayed like that.
 
Does that negatively effect data transfer?

I wouldnt think so, its not like the cables are longer or anything...

Nice, im gonna try it...with my ide?!? (tear) I guess it would work cause i wrapped mine in electrical tape but my ide cables barely reach the drives as it is.
 
Well, having cables close together always causes interference, but with just one cable twirled around close to itself... yes there will be interference, no it will not be noticeable.

EDIT:

Oh, completely for got to say awesome find. Looks good... if I ever get around to using my desktop again I'm totally doing that, my SATA cables are always too long.
