SATA cable

Is there any advantage to having a SATA cable plugged into the HDD as opposed to having a 4-pin to SATA converter in it? I noticed SATA has 5 cables and the converter has 4.
 
You talking about the Sata Power connector? Taking a 4 pin molex connector with a Sata adaptor and plugging into the Sata power port. If so thats fine.
