Sata connection lineup

So I ask myself this question and no I doubt myself. The lineup (can't think of a better name, brain fart) for the SATA connectors are SATA 0 = Disk Drives Sata 1 = OS HDD and Sata 2 = 2nd Internal HDD. In that order or what?
 
It doesn't matter what drive you have where. By default, the computer should try to boot from each drive in order, but you can change that in the BIOS.
