hi i have a pc running windows on a ide hdd and i have a sata drive that i want to use to install games to but when i go to install a game to it or even when i do a disk check on it i get the blue screen of death that blames it on the sata drive .
also when i boot the pc up and it goes through to windows it shuts down to the blue screen of death blaming it on a hard ward problem if i take the sata drive out the pc works great please help

You need to load the raid drivers for ALL sata drives... Plop in the win cd, when it says press f6 for raid/sata drivers... press f6... Your HD should have come with a disk. :) gl

You need to enable the port... also make sure it is plugged into the sata0 port. Try to dig through the bios and see where to turn it on... There are too many version to know what is exactly says.
