sata hard disk probs

I've just bought an intel mother board d101ggc and 250gb sata hard drive to go with it. when i installed the windows xp pro, for some reason it's only detected 130gb hard drive which half of the hard disk.

Anyone knows why this is ?

To see the hole drive above 132gb. the XP cd has to have SP2, If yours dont after you install SP2 it will see the whole size
 
Yup...if you don't have at least SP2, windows is capped at 132GB. If you upgrade to SP2, you could probably find some partition editor to expand your partition to the full drive size. Or, you could just make another partition/drive(but still after updating windows)
