Is there some mystery surrounding SATA ? I can't find any info.
I want to put my old motherboard, a K7S5A Pro in a new case. It has a 1.47gig amd cpu and 1 Gig of memory. Yes it's old but it's a pity to leave it in the attic.
Most of the hard drives I see around are SATA and I'm wondering if they would be compatible with the board and what cables I would need ?
Are there adaptor cables available which would allow me to get the board up and running with all the SATA stuff and new type power supplies ?
Is there a book or guide available on SATA since I'm still in the IDE world, ?
Can build old type PC but the term SATA is bothering me since I haven't even changed a dvd burner for years,
Any help would be appreciated
