I have a prebuilt computer and I recently unplugged my hard drive and plugged it back in, but when I booted my computer back up it didn’t detect anything. I noticed that a part of the sata power cable was hanging loose. It must’ve been yanked out of somewhere, but I don’t know where. I followed the rest of the cable and it looked the same as all my others, but I never noticed this loose cord. Can anybody tell me what this is?

That looks like a floppy drive power connector which unless you have a very old pc, isn't used anymore.
