my IDE HDD is dieing, so i got a 160GB Samsung SATA HDD, i have the driver on a floppy for the SATA install, i havent gotten very far, 2 BSODs and a few stalls.... should i completly unhook my two 120gb IDEs till im done putting XP on the new drive?
1. Hehe you should know to put yer post in the HDD section by now
2. Yes you should unhook the other drives just to rule them out as problem-makers
3. Have you considered installing the OS to the faster SATA drives?
1. maybe, but it might be my mobo and bios too, i flashed my bios from 12 to 15 the other day
