Sata Problems!

Hey everyone..

I've been trying to get my computer working, and I've found a few problems with what I think is the hard drive..

Basically, I just can't format it - Windows won't let me.

I've used different connectors, yadda yadda, and the HDD did work - I got it working for about a day before it stopped (Windows wouldn't load)
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

I had a Seagate Barracuda 160gb, and an Asus A8N-SLI SE

i have an A8N32 sli deluxe and i havesimilar problems. RAID doesnt work right on it and it wont let me install the BIOS utility... im starting to regret choosing ASUS...

I have an ASUS, and its the best mobo iv had, its really really good for overclocking, however, it does do werid things with hard drivers (my other thread lol). And iv not yet tried Raid on it yet but I will soon, I doubt itl work first attempt tho.
