RAID is used to join 2 or more hard drives together to perform certain tasks. The most commen RAID setups are 1 and 0. In 1, every thing that is written in one drive is written in the other. That way if 1 drive fails you still have your data. RAID 0 involves having each piece of information to be written being split up into chunks, that way each drive only has to write and access a part of the file, making for greater speeds. For your needs though it wont be needed, because tehse RAID arrays also only let you have the starage space of one drive, and you wont see much loading time increase, even for playing CS:S.dannyjebb said:how do i set up a raid and are there any major advantages? i use my pc mainly for surfing the net and playin games over the net such as CSS! also will i have to reload windows? because if so i will have to ring bleedin microsoft again to validate my copy of windows and i have only just done that lol
