save/open dialogue box for downloads

The box that appears when downloading used to say open/save ect. now it just downlaods to temporary folders, how do I get it to allow me to save?

try going to Tools, Internet options, advanced tab, and click restore defaults, then ok.

Just opens the file (ZIP form) in D:\Documents and Settings\stuart\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\W9CPMF0L\

when you click on a download link (like that zip file), you should see the options to open or save, click save, not open.

I should see it but it closes instantly and OPENS the file. I assume at some point, I clicked 'dont ask me again' but dont know how to change it ??

heres something that might help, when you go to download something, right click and press "Save target as" then select where you want it. As for a file that starts automatically, im not sure how to fix that.
