saving flash animations

OK thx in advance for this one guys, i kno you'll have the answer.
My goal is to compile a DVD of various flash animations from the web. i already have converters ready to do this.
my problem is when i try to save the flash files, i only get one or two frames.
i have tried using plugins to browse the cache, plugins to open flash files, i have saved the .swf files to my HD but no luck. still only one or two frames of the animation. so
my question is, what else can i do to save the entire flash animation to my hard drive?

download a download accelerator such as DAP or GetRight (both free from download.com), then go to the website that has the flash on it. Right click>view source, then hit CTRL+F, type in .SWF, the name right before the .swf should be the name of the game your trying to play, such as helicopter or mario. Then copy and paste that whole link into a download accelerator, and download it.

If you need pics of how to do it, just ask.

why don't you just save it as like a .MOV, i'm pretty sure that's an option in flash but i haven't used it for awhile.....MPEG might even be one

miniratfck im not worried about the extension of the file i can change anything. my problem is getting the WHOLE file. which i did get btw from geoff's suggestion, however theres a little more.

ok geoff, its a little trickier than how you explained it, so if theres an easier way to get these files in more of a point-click fashion i would love to hear. im planning on a couple hundred of these, and copy paste and downloading the source is going to take a lot more leg work than i would prefer. these flash files are embedded so they dont show up in the page source. i had to find the link in the page info, under media. i was using the same link before, but with the getright i do actually get the whole file instead of just the first few frames. thank you for that.

yeah i tried that. seemed ok. but as you say that, another possibility comes to mind.

the problem seems to be that when i convert, i only get the first couple frames. i am currently using winavi. i tried winmpg but it didnt want to work at all for me.

OK i went and tried it just now. heres what i know.

1. i have the whole flash on my hd now.
2. i have an .swf - avi/mpg/dvd/whatever else you want converter.
3. when i convert, it only gives me the first two frames of the animation.

so now, the question is, if anyone knows, why? and what else could i try?

converters rarely work, i had one that went from dvd to mpg, and i got a similar problem.

Just to get things straight, your trying to save flash videos and save them as a mpg on a dvd so you can watch them on tv? if there games or something then that wont work at all, but i cant think of any other program that would convert it.

yeah i have some cartoons, not games, that i want in dvd format for my tv, etc. i have had some good luck with converters in the past, just not this one from .swf to whatever else.
