Saving HP Deskjet 3845

Hello all.

I've got a bit of an on going `project` at the moment, I'm going to reformat my drive and fresh install, but I need to save bits of data/ some drivers etc.

Anyway, I have a HP Deskjet3845 and I want to download the driver so I won't have to re-run the the disc that came with the printer. A few questions though:

1. Could someone please give me a direct link to the website which I may download the HP printer driver from ? If you need any more info regarding the type of printer then let me know.

2. If I download the driver and then reinstall it on my fresh copy of windows, will it fully install the printer again so I don't have to re-run the disc?

3. Once installed, will I be able to create the HP shortcuts on the desktop again?

4. Finally, will I be able to reinstall the driver by inserting the disc and then clicking on the driver when it comes up in the CD drive, will they just install automatically?

Any help much appreciated!

:D :D

The only thing that HP has for direct access is the drivers, which XP should have anyway (I assume you have XP...) I don't believe that it will also install the diagnostic program and shortcuts that you have mentioned (if they are on HP's site, they would be in a different section)... The quickest and easiest way to do all of this is to just reinstall using the disc.
