Scheduled task won't run due to lack of password

I set up a scheduled task to create a system restore point every couple of days at 6 pm. In the list of services, the "task scheduler" is "started" and set to "automatic".

Now, in my scheduled tasks window, it says that the service did not run because no password was entered for the user.

I am the only user on the computer and I don't use a password, so what do I do here? I figured if I left the password section blank when creating this scheduled task, then that would be ok. But apparently it isn't.

as gay as it sounds, you have to have a password set to do scheduled tasks otherwise they won't run. i have no idea why microsoft would do this it's pretty stupid if you ask me, but i ran into the same issue because i have taskes scheduled to back up my important files to my file server, scan for spyware ect, and it gave me the same problem becasue i used to not use a password. :(

microsoft should release a patch for this problem

Hm, weird. I guess I'll have to start using a password - that's lame. You're right, MS should do something about that because it makes no sense. I have Norton Internet Security installed, and it sets up a scheduled task during installation so that it runs a virus scan every so often. I looked at the properties for that entry and the "set password" button is greyed out. I wonder how Norton set up a task without having to enter a password. I don't think big brother Norton will tell us, though.

Thanks AdmnPower for your response! If anyone else knows how to get around this, please let us know.
