Technology is purchased on budget set by state and federal organizations like the FCC. Write your school board, write your senator and your congressmen and request better technology.

heh... my school runs Dell's with pentium D's and a gig of ram each
they run fine apart from the occasional BSOD

My schools run rather quick dells set up correctly to best thing about it the school also has a Nitendo wii and a XBOX 360

i think my cad class is going to be getting around 14 nehalems/core i7's only because a company that makes mufflers stepped in, shop teacher put in for a 5k plotter too lol

I think at the moment in Uni, they're pentium dual cores, 2GB RAM and 7800's. We're getting new ones after Christmas though...

My school has some P2's on thin clients, P3's in one of the programming rooms, Celeron D's in the area where they do some CAD and P4's in the Computing rooms.

Now THAT is fail.
