I am looking for a reasonably priced DLSR camera. I know enough information to look on my own, since a few months ago I was in the market looking for one, but decided to upgrade my computer, so.

I am not looking for recommendations, but a few would be nice.

I am using this thread to show the results that I find.

My budget for now, is under $600.

I tried bumping an old thread I made a few months ago, but couldn't find it.. Cause it had some information from members who posted some good cameras.

Thanks.

Alright, I've been researching, and online I've found the, Canon Digital Rebel XT 8.0MP Digital SLR for $600.
And the, Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP SLR for $680.

I am going to go to the local camera store tomorrow, compare prices, check out other options and stuff.

Thanks.

My roomate has an XTi and let me say that it's the nicest camera I've ever had the privilege of using.

So, I take it you haven't held many dslrs then lol.
I'm sorry I just had to.

Sure haven't. That's why I said nicest one I've been able to use. I'd love to get one but it would be mostly overkill for the pictures I take lol.. I can't afford another hobby :)

Ha, no kidding on that last part.
My three main hobbies over the past years have basically tripled in price when i moved to the next hobby.

Sony Alpha lineup -- since money is an issue, the inbody stabilization is gonna save you money on lenses down the road.
