Alright for ages now I've been trying to Overclock my CPU....which is Obviously to go into BIOS and change it from there, well it aint for me :o

BIOS:= Phoenix - AwardBIOS V6.00PG CMOS setup Utility
CPU:= Intel Celeron 2.70GHz

Clocks:
Core Speed---2700.0 MHz
Multiplier--- x 27.0
FSB---100.0 MHz
Bus Speed---400.0 MHz

It shows only the very basics of your computer so theres no way to change it (Sadly enough) But is there someway to get deeper within the system to change things like this AT ALL!

ALSO
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"I bought a Radeon 9200 PCI and changed in the BIOS OnBoard to PCI....but "AGAIN" the Memory is still shared with the Intergrated Graphics even though I changed it."

Thanks Blue :)

It's really getting to me now, I've been trying for ages to Update or do something for my BIOS:mad: If theres any other way to change my BIOS from Basic to Advance :P Please tell me

P.S The BIOS did not show the FSB or Bus Speed I used CPU-Z to find it out

That is strange but perhaps if you can turn down the amount of memory usage the onboard video uses then that'll free up most of it. I know alot of onboard memory machines that can be turned down extremly low :-).

As for overclocking that's not really my thing :-) but i'm sure there's lots O people ready to jump in with some advice on the subject :-).

Actually I think there was something in the BIOS about that I'll take a look :)

EDIT: Well I guess there was something you could change in the Horrible BIOS
I changed from 8mb Shared Memory to 512k shared memory :P Well the BIOS is still Crap

Now with the overclocking :(

Have a look at ClockGen? (www.cpuid.com)

No it's not a E-Machine but it's a Compaq
I think on some models of Compaqs, regardless of what youve installed it will still use system memory for its onboard (which is dum). Your best bet if this is the case, is to set the memory used to the minimum (8MB i thinK)

I increased the CPU to 3000 and something at quit then went back in and the values increased more ---- 200mhz

Although it did seem to work but when I went to CPU-Z there seemed to be no physical change because it said 2.7Ghz still, does this program change it but in a way that the computer doesn't know about it???

And on another note I checked out CPU-Z on my RAM it's currently at PC2100 133 MHz

But it says that max is 166MHz PC2700 so that means that thats downclocked, is there also a Program for that aswell :o :P ?????

WHAT said 2.7Ghz?

Ok ill try again :P ... which box said 2.7Ghz?

LMAO :P

"IN CPU-Z" Under CPU Tab, the Clocks "Box" ---

*Core Speed 2700.0 MHz (Which means still 2.7GHz)
*Multiplier x 27.0
*FSB 100.0 MHz
*Bus Speed 400.0 MHz

Thats what i needed to know ... too many times people look at the NAME and then think nothing's happened. As for clock gen's success, try another CPU clock detector (i.e., Windows)

DXDIAG still shows 2.70GHz :o

Tried RightMark Memory Analyser Core Speed is still 2700.0* MHz

Reseted computer CPU speed 2.70GHz

And went back into ClockGen the Speed reset back to 2.70GHz :o
