Screen goes to thumbnails if I smack my mouse

I have a Lenovo E4500 2.2 Gig dual core with 1 gig of ram running Windows XP.
I just got a new optical mouse.
Whenever I slam the mouse down (not even all that hard) my screen goes to thumbnails of every application that I have open.:confused:

I can click on any thumbnail and that app. will open, or slam the mouse again and return to where I was.
.
I have never seen anything like this.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

It is more of a nuisance than anything else, and it is cool to switch apps. in front of people who don't know about it, they just stand there scratching their heads.
.
So does anyone know why my computer is acting like this, or if I can make it stop.
It does sometimes become a real pain in the butt.

I'd trade it for a Cray or two. (OH, yeah they are antiques now)
It has been a real hit around the office.
I have really freaked some people out with it.
And I just act like nothing happened.
.
In a way I guess I'm lucky, but something is definitely wrong.

I am not hitting any mouse buttons, unless inertia activates one of them.
But pressing either button does not have the same consequences (thumbnails of all open applications).
The mouse has 2 buttons and a wheel.
It is a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical and PS/2 compatible.P/N XB02382
Really a generic mouse.

IT claims that they vaguely remember some command that will cause the the thumbnail phenomenon on XP Pro machines. But no one can remember what the keystrokes are.

I guess I will just enjoy it, and sometimes even use it to switch apps.
.
It is a great way to get people to say WTF.
