Screen going dim

Hi,
New member here and I have a Dell laptop. THis problem may not relate directly to the laptop issues but I need to run it by anyone who might have insight. I just joined Metropolitan Opera On-Demand so I can download and watch opera. When I download an opera the playback screen dims when I put the cursor in the playing area, which I have to do to enlarge the screen and get full-screen view. After I fo full-screen it stays dim and colors are muted. The only way I can see the opera in bright color is if I leave the cursor rest in the tab section of my browser. (Chrome) Then, of course, I cannot get full-screen. I tried using Mozilla and it is the same issue. I would really like to watch the productions full-screen. And I paid a tidy sum for On-Demand. It is something I can get use to though, but I want to troubleshoot this so I can get full enjoyment. I wrote to the Metro Opera, but haven't heard back yet as this only happened yesterday and they won't be available until normal business hours. Tweaking brightness setting and all that doesn't do a thing. This may be an issue with On-Demand but wanted to run it by the "brains" here. Thank-you for answers/comments. BTW YouTube and other sites from which I occasionally stream do not have this issues.

If it happens on all browsers then you can assume its an on demand issue. Have you tried it on a different computer?
