Screen Lag???

Hey guys.

I upgraded my screen this week, and have had some issues. I been playing Blops online and my setup used to get about 130 frames with my old screen (all full, at 1440x900). now at all full, at full HD, im getting about 100 - 110 frames (still well above lag rate) but the image isnt smooth, it lags, kinda like CPU lag in a way.

Now i recently redid my thermal paste, but my teps are well within check. 30 idle, 52 load. i know these chips go to 70 or more with stock coolers so this is no problem.

what could the issue be?
 
Is it a higher resolution than what you were playing at?

This would decrease fps if it is the case.

Just read the post again :p and realised you have upgraded to full hd, this will decrease fps
 
I think he knows that Mike... I think he means that he is still getting a great FPS but it runs choppy... so all the temps are fine... hmm Ill have to think about this one

Are you using DVI, HDMI?

What Hrz do you have the monitor set to?

What is the ms delay on the screen?

Can you send me a link to the screen you have? Did you just hook it up to your normal tv?
 
Drivers?

i've heard of monitors that come with them and the gfx card drivers themselve couldn't hurt to be updated.
 
GFX drivers are up to date.

Its connected to DVI.

Screen is at 60Hz. i would like to put it higher as i do find it hurts my eyes a little (my old screen was at 75hz) but it doesnt give me the option. dont want to force it and cause damage to my screen.

response is 5ms (like my old screen). maybe it is CPU lag. Mybe my temps are in check but there is an air bubble... will like to see other options before i reseat again
