Screen Problems, help!!

Hi everybody i am running windows xp and recently tried to use my s video output on my tele. All was fine at first but after a restart the left and right edges seem to be longer than the tele, ie the mouse pointer can can move off the screen. Ive been tryin all the different display options i can find but with no luck. Can anybody help???
 
adjust the resolution.

are you using the tv as an extend, or you have the picture solely dedicated to the tv?
 
Have changed the resolution all this does is make the icons become bigger or smaller. the tele is running as the sole monitor, the top and bottom edges are going as well, i can see slightly more if i put the televison mode into wides screen. i have some pictures i have taken on my phone of the two resolutions if this can help, but not sure how to post them. Thanks for any help
 
Do you have a Nvidia or ATI card?

I believe in both situations via their "control panel" you are able to change such settings for centering the picture.
