Screen recorder

Hi, my daughter wants to start using YouTube and I was wondering if anyone would recommend a good screen recorder. Not familiar with those, but i understand that she needs one to start doing it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If she has a newer NVIDIA or AMD card, the drivers can record gameplay (NVIDIA can record desktop too, not sure about AMD).
I used to use Fraps, even bought the full version, but haven't used it since ShadowPlay (NVIDIA) became viable.

Thanks. I'm not sure what it has. Or how to set it up. Need help in that area too.

Big fan of OBS, that's what I use.
