Screen Refresh Rate

yesterday I changed to 1280x1024, and after deciding I liked it and all I found that it lowered my screen refresh rate from 85hz(was that before, with 1024 768) to 60hz. it's weird, since i noticed now it's annoying me.

is there any way to get to go back to a higher refresh rate? there are no options in the dropdown, only 60..

It sounds like it's because thats the most your monitor can handle. You can try setting the refresh rate higher, but your monitor most likely wont be able to handle it.

your stuck like that with that resoultion


your monitor doesnt support that high of a refresh rate at that resoultion

damn..yeah I went in to the nvidia thing and found override refresh rate and set it higher, but something just popped up like FREQUENCY OUT OF RANGE

Well you could get a cheaper 19" LCD. The one I have is excellent and is only $190.
