I have a 16:9 aspect ratio display for my laptop and using a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS video card. My resolution is set at 1280x800. Other choices are 1280x720, 1024x768 and 800x600. I want a somewhat larger display but the other settings distort perspective. Ideas?
erm i hope i am not insulting you but i dunno if u know this or not
the screen on your laptop prob has 1280x800 pixels if you set it higher like 1920x1200 you will be forcing a much larger image into your screen so u will get the distorted look (the image has 1920x1200 pixels it wants to show but your screen can only show 1280x800 of them so that means it gets distorted )
^^ It wont happen. The drivers won't allow you to do so anyways. Even if you somehow bypass it, when you try to change it to a larger resolution, the monitor would just turn black or some other colour rather than a bigger resolution.
