I am at my wits end, I have replaced both the Inverter and the LCD Panel on a Toshiba satellite m45, and the screen is still too dim.

I am just looking for some help perhaps a quick comment to tell me "YOU FORGOT TO DO THIS"

I've tried with 3 different inverters from the same (or other satellites) just to the same result, Could it be something on the motherboard?

Let me know!

Best Regards,
Francisco

You forgot to do this !

Hi ! You forgot to do this : Press the function button and hold it and then press F10 and hold it too .....you'll have a brighter screen then

lol, thanks...

I think i tried that before replacing the actual hardware of the computer =P

thanks for the spirit though...

reply

then maybe it is set to that dim from the factory....
You have changed inverter and screen so it should be working normally.

well...

It's something with in the hardware motherboard/or cables not sure it's was brighter before thus there is a problem.

Thanks your replys..but I kinda know what I'm doing and I'm just dumb founded by this problem..

did you look in the bios for any settings, i am sure you did, have you tried another lcd interface cable.... also what does an exterenal display look like , is it dim too?

I haven't tried another cable, nor another monitor, I was trying to fix this computer and still am (It's in my shop somewhere) haha I will try another cable this afternoon and will report back. (yes I did try to look in the bios as best as i could, the screen is very very dim)
