Screen turns black after motherboard load up/Primary Slave not detected :(

Soo... my screen goes black after it loads up the motherboard screen, it just goes black and doesn't load the windows screen.

My Primary master shows up in my BIOS but it shows that my Primary Slave is not detected.
Maybe my hard drive become disconnected?

The drive is set up as auto and I haven't added any hardware... so I'm not sure

Do you think I should take it apart and see if it became disconnected somehow?


My specs
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processsor 4200
512 RAM

That's just my processor, I don't know how to check my specs since I'm only in the BIOS menu
 
On some motherboards you can enable and disable the master/slave setting, Dells are famous for this feature. If you only have one hard drive and its IDE then you need to disable the slave setting.
