Screen won't detect

Hello,

I have just got a vga splitter for a pc at work. I connected it today into my pc with that connected into the pc and 2 vga cables coming off it connecting to the 2 monitors, but for some reason it is only cloning the screen on both and only identifys one screen on both. How do I fix?

The splitter splits the same output, meaning each monitor will receive the same image. You need to have a individual cable for each monitor and then set it up.

You'll need to connect second monitor to second output from pc. Do you have onboard video or a dedicated card?

I don't have a video card and only 1 vga port.

You'll need a dedicated card if you want to run 2 screens.

There is a port on the back which looks like a male end of a vga port coming out. It was l0l0l A next to it

That is a serial port. As I said, you'll need a dedicated video card to utilize 2 monitors.
