We needed a new one, so I thought I'd start it up again.

Deadline: Wednesday 12th
Concept: Post a screenshot to proves that games are art.
rules for all contests are as follows:
Rules:
Theme: games are art
* Max Entries: 15 (No more after that will be counted)
* Deadline for Submissions: No longer then 5 days after thread creation date
* One post per user, you may change your submissions afterwards if you like.
* Include the game title (this one doesn't need to be a rule but would be nice for the benefit of others).
* Deadline should be no longer then 5 days, if the 15 entries are reached before the deadline, 1-day notice should be given so people have the chance to change their entries if they wish.

I don't like the max resolution because it gives people that don't have to downscale an advantage

Personally, I would put a limit on the number of entries (15 ish) and say no editing, and also a size limit. Your 1000x1000 picture is stretching some peoples screens...just sayin.

Take the rules from the actual photo comp for example :P.

Rules:
Playing this tournament is simple:

A tournament involves 11 different members max.
The winner of the last tournament will give a theme, and those who want to participate will post their pictures (Only one per person). Please, No more than eleven participants total.

When all participants have entered their picture in the tournament (please submit a link along with your picture), I will then create another thread to vote on the pictures via a poll. Located in the Off Topic sub forum.

New Rules:
- No spot saving; you will only be counted if you have a picture submitted.
- Only one picture may be posted at a time, if you decide to change it, please edit the original post.
- No posting an image that has previously won a competition.

So in brief:
- Users who wish to participate please post your image within this thread followed by a link to the image source.
- After eleven participants have entered the tournament, a second thread will be made with a poll to vote on the pictures.
- If entering a slightly computer manipulated photo, please post the original along with it so users who are voting can see the difference.

Winners will simply be the one who gets the most votes. He/she will then create another thread in which they propose a different theme for the next tournament.

Please resize your pictures to no larger than 1280 x 1024.
This tournament will have 4 days of voting.

You are permitted to change your image but if you could just change the URL in your original post and leave an edited comment with it.

I hope I'm not to late I was having some issues with my card but a driver update fixed it.

I thought I would give this a try FSX is pretty much the only game I play.
 
I think we need to prolong the deadline until friday, to get some more entries.

Come on people put fraps to use!
 
Here is speed in a screen shot.

Fuel demo from steam. Fun for about 5 minutes...not that great of a game at all. I would not even waste your time.

What don't you like about it?

I did download the game demo from somewhere some time ago thought it wasn't very good, I couldn't customise the graphics settings?

I'm debating with myself whether to pick up the game or not, I think I could get into it if I tried.
